These days, they need look no further than social online networking sites to help shake up the monotony of a lack luster nutrition and fitness routine. It has become pretty simple to use social networks to find workout tips, healthy recipes, or motivational and supportive groups whose sole purpose is to help you reach their healthy lifestyle goals. Pole Dancing ? for Fitness?




The proposal follows a recommendation from the Winsor review of police pay and conditions. The test involves a "shuttle run" which instructors say should be the minimum standard for a serving police officer. Tom Symonds tried out the test with Surrey Police. The force says it has seen improvements since regular fitness tests were introduced.

Two-a-day workouts begin for area high school football teams









You can reap the benefits of stretching even if you are unable to take a dedicated weekday class - just devote five to 15 minutes to stretching a few days every week. Pump iron or soup: Strength training is an essential way to build endurance for the weekend warrior. Muscles need resistance training to function at their full capacity. Use lighter weights with multiple reps initially to improve tone - even doing curls with a soup can will help to tone your muscles for endurance-based activities like hiking or distance running. If you'd like to build strength and bulk, gradually move to higher weights with fewer reps.

Shes a phenomenal athlete. Im not surprised shes being recruited by some (NCAA) Division I programs. Rhodes, who competed in the high jump and 400-meter dash at state, qualified for the national meet through state and regional competition earlier this summer in Lisle and Kankakee, respectively. She made it in the high jump and in a relatively new event for her: the 800. Rhodes ran the 800 for the first time in the Capital Area Classic in May, but she didnt do it again until the USATF state competition. Quick learner Rhodes ran the 800 in 2 minutes 25 seconds at Lisle, then improved to 2:18.46 at Kankakee. Ive always been excited about the high jump, said Rhodes, who was Class 1A state runner-up as a sophomore and tied for sixth this year.
